Meet Our Instructors

Craig Collins

Craig is the founder of The Valley Swim School and has over 20 years experience teaching swimming. Craig, a graduate of Springfield College, has been an instructor in the Exercise and Sport Studies Department at Smith College in Northampton, Ma for 16 years and is a certified American Red Cross Instructor and Trainer in all levels of CPR/ AED, First Aid, Lifeguard Training, Swimming and Water Safety (WSI).


Amy Landry

Amy has over twenty-five years experience working with children and families. She works with beginning and intermediate swimmers of all ages, athletes interested in adding swimming to their workout regimen for range or competitive endeavors, and people turning to swimming after injury. She has a clear, encouraging instructional style and brings to her teaching a background in skiing, running, yoga and triathlon competition. 


Sidney Letendre

Sidney has been teaching children and adults to swim for over twenty years. Sidney has coached age-group and masters swimmers paying particular attention to body position in the water as well as stroke technique and starts and turns. She works closely now with adult fitness swimmers and triathletes. Sidney is excited to be working with  the Valley Swim School and teaching a whole new group of life-long swimmers!

Annie Ryan

Annie Ryan has been teaching swimming for 22 years and has coached swim team for 13 years. She is also a preschool teacher, water aerobics instructor and runner.  Annie is the mother of three grown children and lives in Florence.
